Getting started

Up and running in two minutes

No account to create, nothing to configure.

  1. 1

    Install the extension

Add it to Chrome or Edge with one click. It's free.

  2. 2

    Allow file access

Turn on one browser switch — "Allow access to file URLs" — so the extension can open files on your computer. It shows you exactly where the switch is.

  3. 3

    Open your Markdown

Drag a .md file into any browser window, or pick a folder and browse everything inside it.

Built for folders

Browse a whole folder, not just one file

Point it at a folder and every Markdown file inside appears in a sidebar tree. Search across all of them at once, pin the files you keep coming back to, and jump between documents without losing your place.

Works with any folder on your computer — project docs, meeting notes, or the files your AI tools keep writing. Free, with no subscription.

Features

More than a preview

Everything you need to read Markdown comfortably — files, folders, and the things that usually cost extra.

Tabs, outline, and panels

Keep several documents open in tabs. A clickable outline follows you as you scroll, and the side panels arrange however you like.

Markdown on the web, too

Some sites serve raw Markdown files. On sites you allow, those open as clean, readable pages as well — ordinary web pages are never touched.

Always up to date

When a file changes on disk, the page updates by itself — handy while an AI tool or a teammate is still writing it.

Comfortable to read

Six color themes in light and dark, plus adjustable text size, line spacing, and page width. Set it once, and every file opens that way.

Diagrams, math, and code

Mermaid diagrams, KaTeX math, syntax-highlighted code, tables, and task lists all render properly — no internet connection needed.

Private by design

No account, no tracking, no server. Your files are rendered on your computer and never leave it.
